St. Ludmila sculptural group

 

St. Ludmila with St. Wenceslaus (Vaclav) sculptural group, situated on the Charles Bridge in Prague

 

St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids (Czech Village), Iowa ordered the manufacture of a stone copy (in the original dimensions) of the St. Ludmila with St. Wenceslaus (Vaclav) sculptural group, situated on the Charles Bridge in Prague, originating from the M. B. Braun's workshop.

The experienced Czech sculptor Jan Kotek was carefully selected for this demanding work of art.

The aim of this webpage is to report on the progress of work during the creation of the sculptural group.

June 13, 2005 -  Sculptural group is departing for Cedar Rapids, Iowa
